Life is an adventure

Today I met up P at the local hospital to sit for R. R is having surgery that he's really happy to have. I think it's going to go just fine. I woke up early (too early for what I've been doing) and missed seeing R into surgery but hopefully he knew I was coming.

As I didn't have good sleep, I had a really short attention span. After reading the paper and a magazine, I had to start moving. It didn't help that it was a bit too warm in there. We walked to the local MickyD and ordered minutes before breakfast ended. Eventually walked back and waited some more. R came out mostly fine and was released to go home.

P mentioned to me that his first consult for this surgery didn't go well. This made me quite mad. R deserves just as much respect as anyone else, he's no different. I wanted to go talk to the Dr and give him a piece of my mind! Thankfully, R didn't give up and held his head high and found the Dr that did the surgery who was very nice and respectful.

I came home and napped. I'm going to help the boy print out his color stuff for his report. Tomorrow is his last day. I'm also going to do a little laundry.

I've got about 90 more minutes before I leave!

I meant to sleep until 8am but woke up at 6:30. I figured I had so much to do, might as well get started. I washed all the dishes (3 separate loads), laundry (6 loads + sheets)and picked up a few things to make veggie Sheppards Pie with mushroom gravy for the extended family. I also had lunch with my best friend from high school, we rarely see each other so even though it was a bit strained at first, we fell into some nice conversation. I enjoyed our visit, nice to have people in your life that have known you for 25+ years. I'm at work with the time dragging by I want to get home to finish the sheppards pie so that I can pack up what I'm taking tomorrow and go to sleep. I'm really tired and my throat is getting sore again. Wish us all luck !
