working tonight~

zestfiveI'm working tonight because I figured it was easier to take the day off to pick P up from the hospital if it wasn't on the day I work late. (we all rotate a late night). The surgeon said that she would go home in 3-4 days. I was a little afraid that might mean Wednesday (the day I'm working late for Thursday). I figured Thursday because she tends to heal a little slower than other folks. I think she's feeling well enough to go home but she can't pee. They might end up doing surgery again tomorrow to figure out why she's not peeing. This has meant she's had to have her catheter pulled out and than put back in, twice. If she has surgery again, she won't be going home until probably Sunday or so. I hope it's not later than that because I don't have the time to take off. I also want to spend some time with her when she's first home. I feel bad for her and I miss her. If she was ready to go, I might have picked her up at the city house tonight but I'd much rather she pee so I can pick her up tomorrow.
I think if she doesn't make it home, I'll go to the hospital and be with her for her surgery and etc. than stop and pick up some groceries and etc. At least I'll throw a load in the washer tonight, fold the load in the dryer and start another tomorrow before I leave.
I want it to be the weekend, last weekend was so busy. I've got laundry to do, groceries to buy and cooking to do so that we can have food made for lunches. CLEANING is also something I have to do, it seems like we work on cleaning and then turn our backs and it's a mess again. The darn dishwasher is also not cleaning well enough that I'm tempted to give up on it. It's an expensive paperweight. I hate to keep calling J to come fix it.
Sunday is coffee with our group that we haven't been to in a while. I hope that P's well enough to go, or at least I'll put in a quick appearance.
I'm working and it's not that busy so I'm going to try and print up my resume for the job at the private college in the area.
