I attempted to be to the hospital by 5:30am-6:00, I was woken by my alarm at 3:40 but I ended up being late by 15 or so minutes. Both Dad and Sis were in their rooms waiting...Good thing for me because I got to spend lots of time with them before they took them away for surgery. The surgery seemed to take forever to start and forever for them to be done. They were finally out of recovery and into their rooms by 5pm or so. I couldn't concentrate on anything that I brought to do to keep me busy, such as writing a job application (jump drive didn't work on my laptop anyways) magazine or book. I ended up spending time visiting with my Aunt (from California) and my cousin (from Washington) This was nice because I don't get to see them very often. My cousin has always been kind of weird but in the last couple of years has become really pretty social and I like it a lot.

My sister was done first and boy did she look wiped out afterwards, she spent most of her time sleeping. I still find it so amazing that she did that. I love her so much for being able to do it because I love my Dad so much too. I hope her recovery goes smoothly. She was a little nauseous but sleep will help cure that.

My Dad immediately looked better. His skin had taken on a bit of a yellow tinge because his kidney's were not doing their job very well(I'm guessing he was down to 15% or less function). He doesn't usually handle pain medicine well it makes him VERY sick. He had dry heaves but he was in such a loving mood to everyone and wanted everyone to be around him. The kidney was working when it was put in and his creatin was already begining to go down.

I was so glad that A was there. I know that my Dad loved him being there and his conversations before the surgery. As a treat, I made a point of getting him to gamestop to pick up a new video game for him.

I was able to take a quick nap but mostly I am very tired. It was so nice to have connection with P through text messaging. I really liked that.
