I almost forgot to tell you about this
Sep. 6th, 2003 09:04 amSo I'm leaving school on Saturday and I see a car with it's hood up, you know that sign, a universal "Help, my car is broken !" I decide that it might just be a dead battery and I've got jumper cables(How many people from MN don't ?) I know how to use them and I like playing white knight ! I turn around and go back and it's a young asian woman and an older(50+ yrs)white man and yep they *do* need a jump. I pull up angled to jump the car and pop my trunk to get the jumper cables out. I know how to jump a car but I'm always a little nervous to make sure I do it right and don't blow up a car or two. As I'm reading the little tag attached to the car, the guy is explaining step by step to the young woman what I'm doing. It was weird because I wasn't sure of what his relationship was to her(another person who stopped to help that didn't have jumper cables, her Dad or someone who just happened by). I sitting there thinking "Dude, you're not helping and if you shut up and grab this cable, then I can get done quicker". I felt that he didn't think I knew what I was doing and was explaining it to me. It was weird but as soon as I was done, the security folks pulled up and I think they were going to help but turns out we had got it done by then. Off I went.
