My Dad's partner called, he's needed more tests because of his kidneys and now he's suffering additional problems likely related to his heart. He was scheduled to have an angiogram tomorrow because he was having trouble breathing when walking up the stairs and going any distance. On Sunday he ended up in the hospital because he was having the same symptoms when he was sitting. So they were going to move up the test for today, but they were unable to get him in early enough so it got pushed back to tomorrow anyways. Apparently the doctors are expecting to do a bypass operation on his heart and with the angiogram and/or bypass operation, he will likely blow out his kidneys which means that he will probably be on dialysis soon. He and P are feeling quite depressed. She has just lost her mother to similar problems. She also admits that she has PTSD from dealing with the doctors. I'm worried for her and for him.

I'm so not ready for my Dad to start his downward spiral.
