I'm pretty sure that I won't be going to the conference I had hoped to attend. With bad budgets, I think they are saying no to out of state travel.

This means that I want to go somewhere (WARM) for spring break. I would be available anytime from March 14 through to the 22nd. P has that time off too. I want to go somewhere warm that won't have too many college student spring breakers. Do you have any suggestions? I don't want to spend too much money. I just want to enjoy being in warm weather and water (lake, ocean, indoor pool...don't care) Definition of warm is more than 60 degrees F. I don't care if it's a cruise or just go to warm weather and hang out.

Where have you gone that has been the best experience for you?

savannah, ga pops into mind- about an hour from the ocean, not a real tourist pull town, home of the girl scouts founder, and lots and lots of intrigue and gossip. you can rent a decent place for a week fairly cheap, and people watch, eat well, and have fun. we spent several years there in my late teens while my gag helped the paper plant get it's eps certification.

the other is morro bay(and i might have slaughtered the spelling) claifornia. you can seal watch, eat sea food to you hearts contents, go cheer for the fighting slugs( i am noy kidding, they have a slug for their college mascot, a banana slug, iirc)and then go watch the seals bask in the sun all day. that and it really is beautiful there.
