This is the best I could find. If you imagine looking at the back of this lady's head, you'll likely see her hair all poofed up in back. This is what I call cat butt hair. It probably requires a hairdryer and lots of product, neither of what I like to do with my hair. I typically like to put a little moouse in it once I get out of the shower and then comb it into place. As I have the worst dry skin, I shower usually every other day. On the 2nd day, I wet it down, comb it into place and use hair spray.

I think cat butt hair is too much work.

ha! I like your description. And catbutt hair is kind of cute.

Right now I kind of have duckbutt hair...that's what I call it when it's short in the back but has a little curl up, like the feather on a ducks butt.

Actually, that's my hair when I have been getting trims on schedule :). All I do is the mousse and scrunch it around with my fingers. When it gets too long-ish (it's still short), I have to comb it out.

I knew exactly what you meant by cat butt hair. I tried to have this hair in 2002. It required a lot of product and work, and I still was never 100% satisfied with how I did it compared to my stylist.

I am lazy. I want stylish hair without work. I have longish hair now, but it isn't necessarily stylin'. However, it is healthy and very easy to maintain, so there ya go. I'm happy enough for now. Sometimes though, I want to get a crew cut like Natalie Portman and see what that looks like. Talk about low maintenance!

i've had it, it takes too much product. it was my stylists idea though, not mine. that's what happens when you leave it up to your person...

GRIN but I bet it looks adorable on you! I just can't get it to work on me.

Truly, I do like how it looks on some people, I just don't have the time and etc to put into doing it myself. I also really like diversity so I don't want everyone to have the same haircut either (everyone in the salon seemed to have that type of haircut)

I used to have a catbutt haircut, but I rarely ruffled the butt. It's not that hard. I would wash my hair and dry it. Then I'd use some pomade or other sticky hair junk, but only a little, rub it between my hands then rub it into the back of my head like I was giving myself a noogie from behind. It usually worked. Then whatever gunk I still had on my hands I would use to tidy up the front just so.
I've been growing out my hair, but it's gotten so curly it looks shorter. When it's wet and I comb it out, it's almost shoulder length, when it's in pure curl form, it barely touches my collar.

Hair is so wierd.

Yeah, I don't like too much product in my hair. You should post a new pic, I'm sure you look different than you use to...especially since I expect you're glowing with that permagrin of new love! GRIN
