It does look lonely there all by itself I think I know ppl there from eljay. You just got to go there even if it is just to stop and spend the night. What do you consider states that you have been to. 1) states that you have passed through on the way to another location 2) places that you desired to see and stopped for that specific state for that reason
Some say just passing through counts. What do you think?

GRIN, these states were states mostly from 3 different trips.

1) Last summer's trip out west
2) This spring's biloxi trip
3) This summer's trip out east

Yes, some states we just passed through such as PA. I'm still counting them! GRIN

That makes a difference... Does it count if you were on a train passing through or did you actually stop and step foot on the ground. That would make a big difference in my states. I have been on Amtrak that went from DC (which I did not count but had a many hour layover) to New Orleans. I got off the train in Hattiesburg, MS. *grins*
I might have to edit mine if these count. Cf course I have been to Ohio if that counts. I have been to PA many times.

I think you can count however you want. You were in DC even if you didn't touch the ground, as far as I'm concerned.

While I DC I touched the ground, I was on Amtrak and spent many hours there waiting for a train... It just was due to them time, like 2am. And the fact that I was not sure when the train was to arrive. We found out later it had to do with a teenage male that was arrested for the attempt to sell and transport 1 or more onces of cocaine across state borders. I bet he did not think that far ahead to understand the magnitude of what hew as attempting to do. And how it differed from his usual drug dealing business. I think I was there 5 hours.
I spent the night in an hotel room in Ohio. I was lucky enough to go on a car trip to PA one year.. So Ohio counts too right?
