So this morning AF and I went to do his "summer stretch" program which is a bunch of churches who are getting together to do community service on Tuesday mornings after lunch they get to have fun. At the end of 7 weeks of this, all the kids go to a local amusement park(which I like because that means that I don't have to take him this year!). Our project this morning was helping this man weed his yard. He's a retired minister and his back prevents him from doing it anymore. Although I was thinking that he lives in a very exclusive neighborhood, he probably can afford to pay someone to do it. I was also a little frustrated because the kids didn't seem to be working all that hard. As I was in this mood, I started thinking of why is it that here are a bunch of kids but all of the adults were women...where are then men? And here we are working on a man's house!!! So I was really irrated...AF was pretty good regarding the work which I was happy about. Then...the man came out and while we were working, he printed up a thing of thanks for each one of us and mentioned his memories of working for Fellowship of Reconciliation...which is a peace organization that I've been a part of and I'm a 3rd generation member. That at least changed my mood a bit.

Also on a brighter note...I've just registered for my last two classes and after that, I'm done! Yippee !
