Sep. 15th, 2003 09:23 amSaturday night I went to a party for a former coworker of mine. A seemed a bit down and I think it's because she's adapting to working full time after not working for a year and a half as well and the disappointment that even with completing her education, there is a learning curve to most jobs. She indicated she expected to be wonderful right off the bat.
Another current coworker of mine recently has spoke about how she's really struggling with getting older(I think she's close to the big 3-0 !) Personally that didn't or wouldn't bother me but I was really impressed with her being so open about such a vulnerable thing. She's been having panic attacks and etc. Perhaps I'm not worried about getting old because I'm not as sensitive to my exterior, I'm more head focused. I'd be more freaked out by the panic attacks and not being able to control them in my head.
I was so happy to work on cleaning up some of my basement yesterday. I vacuumed up cobwebs and dust. Basements are wonderful, I'm glad that I have one. They protect you in tornadoes(mostly) and are cool in the summer. As a kid, I used to play with my sisters in the basement where we could roller skate and play dress up. It was a great place !
