zestfiveA few minutes after I got home to the country house, I got a call from the dean of where I will be working this fall. She asked if I was interested in summer hours, of course, I'll keep showing up as long as they keep paying me! I start on Tuesday and work 3 days that week and after that Tuesdays and Thursdays for the rest of the summer. That works for me! I bet I'd be able to carry most of my basic expenses on that, GRIN.
After a while, my mom dropped the boy off at home, he was going to be home alone for the night and his Dad was going to pick him up the next afternoon for his weekend. I had a pretty good conversation with my mom, told her about our trip, she talked about how hard it is for her to go into retirement, she's no longer so wired. She left and had a good conversation with the boy, although, so far he hasn't talked about how he let his phone go through the laundry, it still works though!
P went to sleep as soon as we got home, she finally had a working CPAP machine, slept for 5 hours. I read through my mail, made a sandwich, talked to the family and etc.
Saturday, P slept in and I didn't do much but watch HGTV, interesting but such as waste of time. We finally did start organizing the bedroom and then got a call from our friends J and B who were going dancing. I wanted to go because I missed everyone...but P didn't really want to but she did agree because she knew I wanted to go. I love her for that! We did get it together and went, a little late and stayed until the music stopped which wasn't too much past midnight.
Sunday we were going to go to breakfast, B texted me and we ended up picking up some food and went there for breakfast, B also invited L to go with. We had run into her at the store but it was a bit awkward, not knowing if we should invite her or not as it wasn't our house and etc. I was glad she (and her kids) was there.
P had to come home and take a nap as she's back to work on midnights tonight. I napped with her, I got up about a half hour before she did. After she got off to work, I talked to the neighbor a bit and now I'm trying to organize for tomorrow. I've got lots of things to do, appointments to make, laundry to do, groceries to shop and hopefully some good food to make for the week. It's late and I should go to bed so I can get it all in.
