I've got gut rot today, it started yesterday and I didn't sleep well last night because of it. I don't know why I have it. It's just severe abdominal pain. It's making me pretty uncomfortable, woke me up last night. I was afraid to take tylenol for my headache but after I did, it wasn't any worse and I was finally able to go back to sleep. It feels like it's starting just below my sternum. I did take some rolaids but they only seem to be slightly working. I really want to curl up in my bed and go back to sleep but I've got to work. If it was any other day, I would be calling in sick because I'm in that much pain. I'm not good with chronic pain.

I think I'll take some more tylenol. and patiently wait for the time to tick by...4 o'clock can't come soon enough!

Nothing that I would connect to this, generally I've got a pretty good stomach.

Go to the doctor. That sounds like it could be gallstones. Probably not an emergency, but it's something you should get checked out.

Gosh, I could have sworn that I responded to this....

Can't be gallstones, the beloved (not) gallbladder came out a year after the boy was born. I could have sworn I was in labor, it was worst than childbirth!

Somewhere in the back of my mind I remembered this from back when I had surgery... I've heard of people having pains similar to gallstones after they've been removed, but since it's been so long, I doubt it's in any way related. I hope you're feeling better now!

Wow! that sounds serious! I hope you feel better soon. Is there a place where you could go for some accupuncture. If for nothing else accupuncture helps stomach ailments. I swear by that! Take care!

I could have sworn I responded to this...unfortunately, there's no accupuncturist in my area. If I did have chronic pain though, I'd be willing to try ANYTHING.

I had thought you were in the Twin Cities area. The American Academy of Accupuncture and Oriental Medince and they have 5 clinics there.
http://www.aaaom.edu/ They all are called TCM Heath Centers. http://www.acupuncturemn.com/
Here is a referal page for your area if you are not near any of those clinics. Schools of things such as this charge less...

Good luck!
