very good weekend

zestfiveExhausting but very good weekend. P and I went to a relationship retreat weekend that is similar to the marriage encounters. There were 3 other couples from my church. One other lesbian couple, one other gay couple out of a total of 15.
We had a wonderful room (including private bath) not all couples got that. It was held at the same place where our women's retreat is held. I also went to camp there as a little kid.
The 3 leader couples were wonderful. Two straight couples and one lesbian one. I was amazed at their openess in sharing their trials and tribulations in their relationships.
It was emotionally exhausting but we had some really good discussion and some plans for the future. I'm pretty sure we both need to catch up on our sleep, emotional energy and etc.
Today I'm still trying to recover, exhausted and looking for a little solitary time. In a few hours my Dad is driving here so we can transfer the title of his car into my name. He bought a new truck and is giving me his car. This is great as the boy will be driving with his permit in about 6 months.
