Spring Break!
Mar. 8th, 2006 09:35 amWow, it feels like it's been a long time since I updated. I'm on spring break, I love it.
It's taken me 2 hours to read through all my LJ friend's posts. I mostly didn't even comment on anyone but hope that everyone works through their stuff. A couple of people are recovering from surgery, some with drama in their lives, some that are out of sorts who are doing some introspective evaluations, some just living life. I hope you all find resolution and happy outcomes.
P and I continue to learn to talk with each other, we get scared but in my opinion, communication is key and that's what we're doing. Saturday was a day for communication but we did make it albeit late to C and M's to watch "Tipping the Velvet" which I really enjoyed. Sunday was church with E and R, unfortunately the other R didn't make it. I'm not sure what's up with R but we'll see how it all shakes down. I don't know if I need to sit her down and talk to her or let her do her thing. After church, nice lunch and conversation. We said goodbye to E and back to R's place to drop P and R off because my boy forgot to take his key to the house. I started the drive back (75 minutes) but about half way there, T(boy's father) calls and tells me that A broke into the house like he's done in the past. I hate that because it wrecks the window screen and if anyone else can see, they learn exactly how it's done. At least he called so I drove back to P and R. P let me in and we all crashed for a nap before going to see Catie Curtis in concert. I was a little surprised at how much I liked Catie in person, she's got a great stage presence. I was also happy to see my friend H.
Monday the washer got delivered. We've been doing a lot of washing since then. The front loader spins the water out of the clothes so much easier. We also really went to town cleaning the basement. I can't believe how well we did. I had lots of garbage and stuff to donate. Next is the office, bedroom and maybe kitchen. I hope we get it all done before this week is up. I would really like to entertain folks at my house since they have done such a good job entertaining at their houses. We also have lots of appointments with doctors, dentist and etc. P also has a funeral to go to on Friday.
Now that I wasted so much time on line, I really should go get to work. P's got another appointment today and I'm hoping we can stop and visit K and N who are dear friends of mine. Even though N is in her eighties (I think) she is a dear!
