Life is an adventure

I just got back from taking A to his ortho appointment. He's had braces since 2/01. Except for a handful, I have taken him to the ortho every 4-6 weeks since that date. Today we made an appointment to double check the "space" and one 2 weeks later to R-E-M-O-V-E the braces ! I'm so excited. I remember being very worried about affording it for him and struggling with doing it or not. I was very lucky that I found out about it in enough time to switch dental plans at work to one that covered it at 80% and the balance was split between my ex and I. Even though I ended up getting laid off, I got all the benefits. It was
less than $400 for me and it's long since paid off. The tough thing is the appointments as its probably 45+ miles round trip to take him, sometimes in the wrong direction or where I have to drive him to his appointment, return him to school and then go back in the same direction to go to work, lots of time, miles and etc.


I just remember R teasing me about how I talk, apparently she says that I use the phrase "part of me...." quite a bit. This is because only parts of me thing/feel/believe/wants etc and the other part might have an alternative opinion. I find this odd. She says that she notices herself using the same phrase but thinking of me during that time.

Anyways, off for a nap before work. ZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...........
