Last weekend as our annual tradition dictates, my ex-husband, our son and I went and did something just before school starts. This year since we've already done Vallyfair, State Fair, Camp Snoopy and etc multiple times, we agreed to go to the Renn Fest. A has never been there, I've gone plenty of times including a couple of years where I volunteered (only one day, work half the day-selling beer, half the day is mine and a few food tickets and any tips you might get!). The way I see it, you're expected to pay almost $18 to get it and have to buy over priced food and shop. Sure, there are a few things you can watch such as puke and snot, jousting and etc but it's really not my thing. It didn't help that my ex gets anxious if we're not there 15 minutes before everything starts, I wanted to get a cup of coffee. He (like my younger sister!) gets really snotty and mean if things aren't their way. I didn't want to spend a whole lot of money(and didn't, tickets through one of my jobs were cheaper plus a buy one get one free...discounted food tickets). I gave A some money to spend but never spent mine-I don't need any more crap(even though I do like to spend money sometimes). If I found a rainbow colored windsock to replace my old one that is so bleached out from the sun, maybe. Anyways, my ex was really tranparent and oogling all the young women in their revealing outfits, it was really gross. I'm pretty conservative that way. I wish I could say something because he's being a role model for our son but I can't. I also know his history which I would say borders on addiction which grosses me out even more. This probably ties into me being ooked out as he more often than not plays a female character when he does role playing games.

After that day, I went to a BBQ with some dear friends but I just wasn't in a good place, I was pretty quiet most of the time, despite being around a couple of very dear people. Can you say bump on a log? sure you can. I ended up crashing at R's house which was good. I ended up wasting the day away but did finally get into a better spot. In retrospect, I probably had too much time on my hands last week.

This week I've been working both jobs and look forward to figuring out the hours for this fall. It appears that I'll be working at 3 different libraries.
