Have you ever posted a personal ad ? That's how I met my current GF. I recently found an ad that I had saved.

Yes, I'm a failed perfectionist. I aspire to be perfect but
always fall short of my dreams. I wish I could do more in my
life(volunteer, social activism, further education,
home improvement, housework,etc) but due to responsibilities
in my life, I never have enough time. I'm also happy that I'm not a perfectionist, I enjoy being laid back and seeing the beauty
in simple pleasures. I believe in sequencing my life and
feel that I will get to the goals I have set, if not now,
eventually. As much as I am romantic (optimistic) I'm also a realist and can be cynical at times too, I do dream of a partner to grow old with. I also think that I may never find her as I feel so different from what I see in the world. I live my life
the best I can and do unto others as I wish to have done unto me. I guess I'm looking for someone similar to me, someone who's
financially, emotionally self reliant. I want someone
who understands that the world is not black and white, it's
shades of rainbows. I want someone that values family and
community. I look for someone who values tolerance for the
diversity of others. I'm looking for a balanced person...someone
who is as introverted as extroverted and as intellectual as emotional. Does this sound contradictory ? It's not in
me. If you're out there I would like to get to know you,
although I don't have any intention of jumping into anything, I
don't do the U-haul thing. Even if we may be similar and
you're out there, there might not be chemistry, I guess it doesn't hurt to try, does it ? Take Care

That's actually how I've met most of the new people I met since Michelle and I broke up.
