This weekend
Apr. 25th, 2005 10:24 amSo this weekend was childfree and I was planning on staying home more...catching up on things, taking care of business.
Friday I had another really nice breakfast with J. In talking to her on how she could promote her own business, I realized that I could use the same techniques for stuff that I've been thinking about. Now If I could only get the things on my computer fixed (laser printer I picked up free and the recent addition of a digital camera). Then I had to go put in a few hours at work that I had missed due to at job interview from a couple of weeks ago...that I likely didn't get but that's okay. Then Dear friend R convinced me to join her for a great dinner and more hanging at her house. Stayed out much later than I should but I almost would not pass up time to hang out with her. Good times !
Saturday worked until 2p on about 4 hours of sleep, ran errands and came home to do laundry and lots of dishes. I've gotten a dishwasher(first one in my entire life) and I'm still trying to get it to work well. I know that I don't want to use too much soap but I think my water causes it to be a little scummy so I've got the softner going again(I think) so see if that will help. In the mean time, I wanted to do everything by hand so that I could wash it all off. I was amazed that I was able to get that done while not falling asleep and screwing up my sleep schedule.
Sunday I got up and made a couple of different potluck dishes. First was a picnic potluck that was for my local GLBT group that I started. We had about 14 adults and who knows how many kids. It was good, but I wish the boys had shown up(they rsvp-ed but didn't make it). As much as I love lesbians(GRIN) I want the mix. After that, I ran home and got my other dish so that I could go to the potluck sedar at my church. A had agreed to go but OF course ! since he had been at his Dad's, he was too tired to come. That was VERY disappointing because I feel like we never do things together and I was very excited when he agreed to go.
Sedar was interesting and I'm glad I went.

Again, I'm SO tired of the Bette and Tina story line...They both have this over anxious scared look all the time on their face. I'm guessing that they will start "dating" again and then the baby will come during the season finale but we won't know if they are really back together before the next season starts. Whatever, I don't care. I didn't like Kitt's hair straightened, I like it wild like it usually is.
Alice and Dana continue to have fun wild sex...they need to continue to work on their communication (radio interview problems) and not just assume because they are such good friends that they can know what the other one is thinking and etc. The scene in the airport with the security and the strap on was hilarious! The security check was cute ! I also really liked that they had a lot of "normal" looking lesbians on the cruise. I really liked the backbone that Jenny had when she finally talked to the video guy(I forget his name) I DIDN'T like how she told him to leave them up until after the vacation? What the ? Take them down but if you're worried about the reaction and ruining the vacation...than don't tell them right away...but leave them up? She became just as bad and an accomplice by instructing him to do that. What was her hidden agenda? It was horrible when she was pushing Carmen and Shane together, what would have happened if they had gone to each other as she was pushing them...it would have been as much of a scene if not more. And why is it that the only way to portray passion between two people is to have their mouths stuck open? Aren't their flies and mosquitos on a cruise? The scene when they got back and found all the videos wasn't very good...Shane's slap/punch was weird, she had a closed fist but the sound was like a slap. 3 more episodes before the end of the season, what do you think is going to happen?
