So, I found out about one job...didn't get it. I also found out the one job that I interviewed for on Tuesday...that they are interviewing someone else I know...I'm taking that to mean that I'm not going to get it. This is good in a way (see, I'm such an forever optimist!) I'm not going to have to make the decision to do that gawd awful commute).

Busy weekend planned....Friday starts with breakfast with a friend, than to pick up my Dad at the Dr's. He's got more tests, his partner will be dropping him off on her way to work and I'll pick him up after it's all over. This will give me a chance to pick up some cheap groceries. Friday night and Saturday, I really plan on working hard to get the house in better shape. Saturday afternoon is a suprise B-day party for L, being thrown by T. I love those gals!. Saturday night I agreed to help out with my church's annual auction. Sunday I'm going to do some cooking for meals for the week probably some stir fry, rice & beans and etc. I'm also going to attend an informational thing at a church on the draft. I'm attending this because A's turning 13(!!!) on the 19th and if we're still in Iraq, I don't want them taking my BABY !!!
Of course, the decision is up to him, I couldn't stop him if he felt obligated or called to go.

Speaking of his birthday...I want to acknowledge this birthday but I really haven't figured out how, he's turning into a teenager some would acknowlege that he's a "man" now. Do you have any ideas? He wants to go do paintball but at this point scheduling and $$ are an issue, it's like $25/per person with a 5 person minimum. He will go but just not right now.

Do you have a Laser Tag place near? That was a hit when my sons were younger.

I'm still waiting for mine to become "men." Each year I tell my older one that THIS BIRTHDAY is his last birthday for lots of presents. He turned 20 a couple of weeks ago. :)

Yeah, we did laser tag last year...I also talked to my Dad and have decided against the paint ball for now. I'm sure he won't like it, but my Dad did figure out what he's going to do for him for his birthday. He's going to take him to this part of the city that lets people get permits to dig for fossils. How cool is that? I'm really excited to participate in that too.

I guess I'll have to keep thinking!
