Yesterday was so productive! I finally got my kitty cat weighed again. I had to take her into the vet cause she was doing the butt dragging thing. Turns out she was a little inflamed because she couldn't get back there to clean herself. This despite the fact that she was already on fatcat cat food. Needless to say, I can no longer leave the cat food bowl out and let her graze from it...I must measure the food and give it to her twice a day. I also have to buy the very special (read as EXPENSIVE) diet Rx food from the vet. But happily, she's lost almost 4 pounds. She could stand to loose another 2 pounds but what can you expect when you're forcing a cat to loose 1/3 of their body weight, but yeah, she did look like a barrel.

I also picked up a new cat box, litter, got the oil changed in the car. Applied to 3 jobs. Each one, I'd be happy to start out in for now, although I'd rather not have to work the 1 year temp, drive-more-than-an-hour-each-way-job(on the other side of the metro area) but I'd be happy to have any job after my adjunct hours are up in May.

Lunch with H. We haven't seen each other in over a year. She caught me up on the HUGE drama that's been in her life. She's such a DIVA which is why I love her. I'm also a little scared for her because the drama is over her controlling husband. I miss working with her and hearing all those great stories.

Home to get haircuts all around in the house. Also picked up the stuff to network the computer and set up the wireless internet...still working on that. The signal is a little harder to get from my vantage point. I really need to have a window on the windowless side of my house. :-( At least I have all next week to worry about that.

Off to have breakfast with my lovely (NOT) mother and sister, you know the ones...they "born again" read as --don't make me think too much about my life...just tell me what I'm suppose to think(mind drone). A just made himself breakfast and is now annoucing that he doesn't want to go. that's just great.

nap time..

I am just tired reading the list of things that you did yesterday..
It really is nap time!
Good luck with going to breakfast with Mom and sis!
You are just so jealous of A because you would so wish you could announce that you were not going either!

Well, breakfast wasn't too bad. I do enjoy going with them as we behave poorly in public. Much too much loud laughing...and sharing of meals. My mom and I split eggs, bacon, hashbrowns and 2 slices of french toast.

what about this part of it "don't make me think too much about my life...just tell me what I'm suppose to think(mind drone)"? was that to a minimum?
"I do enjoy going with them as we behave poorly in public. Much too much loud laughing...and sharing of meals.."
is that behaving poorly in public? I never thought about how loud I laugh and often share my food with others at the table with me. I thought that was just fine... It was funny one year after Southern Womyn's Music Festival some of the workers who had stayed to help clean up and pack things into storage were eating in a breakfast place in GA, and were passing extra sausages or whatever for extra toast.. food was going all around the table. So was the laughter! The waitress bred skunks for showing. There are like 40 types of skunks. It has to do with the color. Did you know that there is a lavender colored skunk? all the skunks were de-scented... it was so funny!

Yeah, there was a few comments about how my sister is trying to be "christian like" but not...I figure I just do the best I can and that's all I can do..who knows about the whole god thing anyways. I find her behavior to be some of the most unchristian like (of course, aren't a lot of christians that way?)

What a great story, I didn't know about skunks. Although, what do you do with skunks once you've bred them? Behaving badly in public is a fun thing but I'm in a pretty conservative area....not so fun. Some people think food sharing is rude. :-)

I dunno abut what you do with them.. I guess they are pets?
Who cares if you are in a very conservative area? this is your life... who is going to tell you how to live your life and who should be telling you how to live your life.. other than you? really food sharing is rude? I think it often is a helpful thing so that food is not wasted. Are you going to finish that? I am ME and that is all I can be. Nothing more and nothing less. I act the way I act because it pleases me... and harms none. I live my life according to basic rules that I learned in High School. Respect yourself and Respect others. Those were the only 2 rules that there were. It is amazing how many other rules fall under those two type of rules. Makes one think..
