Ready for a break from my mother, she is so controlling. Mostly I try to recognize she's just an old lady but I hate when she holds my feet to the fire yet caters to my sister. I don't need any catering but get off my ass. This introvert needs some down time.

Thankfully after I got pissed, I just put on my headphones an listened to some music. I talked to both of my sisters about it separately and they had interesting feedback. My younger sister who is a diabetic noticed that afterwards my mom took her blood test to check her sugar and then furiously ate her lunch. She seemed to think her overreacting was about her blood sugar levels. My older sister said that she didn't think our mother really trusted any of us despite her being our mother. This makes sense in that she really never felt she fit in anywhere because she was an only child with parents who were very connected which left her feeling alone. This makes me feel really sad for my mother but it doesn't make me want to cater to her at all. She never apologized for her behavior but she's doing nice things for me so I think that's the way she tries to make it up to me.

Gosh - even what you say here - i feel you. Currently dealing with my own mom drama. My best friend Kylie and I discuss the older women in our lives quite often and we've come to the conclusion that women go crazy as they get older, and that we will become old and bitchy and crazy at some point as well. =P

It's a difficult path, being a daughter, but we shall persevere. =P

Actually, I like older women just not my mother as much. I'm just so very thankful that I've got two sisters who can also be there for me.
