Today I'm working at the public library getting some extra hours. It's good and I'll start my internship on Labor day, I don't mind working. It will be a great opportunity and I really look forward to doing it. Wouldn't it be great if I could get myself positioned to get a full time permanent one there?

Tomorrow I go to meet with the people for my practicum. I'm looking forward to that too.

It's really kinda scary for me to take a risk, I'm usually the conservative acting person. This is in part so I can ensure that my son will always be cared for. I'm happy to report that it turned out well so far. I just hope that I'll be able to find a job full time after I finish my degree.

I've also thought that I might have to move to find something which I'm okay with, but I would like to stay in the general area, especially since I have the parenting agreement with my son's father...to stay within a 3 hour round trip of each other.

Last week, I found out that he's got a 5 day suspension pending termination because of his attendance. What he says is that because he hit his 5 year mark, he has 40 additional paid time off hours. He called in and told him that he wasn't going to make it on Thursday (of last week) and on Friday, they told him about his suspension because he didn't use the correct words when he called. Sounded like semantics to me and he's pat of the union...but he says that he thinks they are all trying to push him out and he will sue. I think he's slightly paranoid with the whole conspiracy theory...especially since he loves to play victum. My thought is...don't call in so darn much and you wouldn't be in this situation in the first place. My concern would be that if he's fired, there goes the child support...and there goes health insurance on our son. I think we could probably qualify for county health insurance for our son...but then the money that I saved to live on(which I thought I wouldn't need because of the paid internship) I will need to supplement what I'm not getting from child support. I'm not going to worry about it...he's suppose to find out the status of the situation in the next week or so.

I am amazed that at this point...I haven't needed to dip into savings yet...except for September's mortgage payment and I admit that I've been spending a little more liberally since I got the internship. Gosh, I manage money well!
