 My mother called happily because she is not being hospitalized, she has meds for her diabetes and high blood pressure and will see how things go and get back to the doc in a couple of weeks. The doc said she'd probably need to have injections because of her sugar levels, diet and exercise is probably not good enough.

Yeah I am so glad that your Mom is feeling much better! My Dad takes those pills and they are wonderful! It really keeps his sugars good. Except he thinks that this gives him carte blanche to eat whatever he wants. I guess he does limit sometimes though. I wish your Mom much luck in her health regime. Also the age differences actually would be on her favor. So she will even do much better on the pills than my Dad does.
