zestfiveMonday was my last day at work until the 2nd week in January. I'm very happy about that. I've needed a break, a break to do nothing. It's always the same, thinking I have all this time before I have to go back to work but it's so short.
What's been happening with me? The usual mostly work, life, friends and family. I did attend a former gf's graduation reading. She was so close to her history degree but then changed at the last minute to creative writing. It was interesting beshe is really becoming he, her mother was there and so was her new gf who identifies as straight. I thought it would be weird but so far it hasn't been too bad. She really did amazing at the reading, she really has come into her his own and it's so neat to see.
Friday A went to his father's until Wednesday. Although Tuesday they were at Christmas at my sister with all of us. Friday night P and I spent the night wrapping presents. She got tired of it so I wrapped some of her presents.
Saturday we spent the day cleaning the house. My sisters came over and helped some. It was tough for me to deal with that so I mostly hid and worked on things like putting up the switch plates, shades and etc. It was a busy day.
Sunday we had P's family over. I was SO suprised that not only her boys came over (sons and legally married husband) but her parents and her aunts. Surprise because of the weather, not so much snow but LOTS of blowing and I know how scarry it can be with older drivers. Things seem to go well. P was a little annoyed at B for not helping when the car got stuck and that upset her. She did a great job making stroganoff and etc and she was exhausted when it was all over and so was I (although I sure didn't do much)
Monday I went to work and when I came home P wasn't feeling well so we never made it to church. I could have gone with my mom and sister but didn't and I'm glad even if my younger sister was mad that I didn't go.
Yesterday we were a little late as to be expected to my sisters. She was driving me CRAZY of how she was ragging on my mom (of course she also accepts my sisters treatment of her). Mostly, it was okay. I got some great loot, P got me a camera(she gave it to me early) a GPS for the car, nice outfit and a fun ipod toy which I've got to check out, I'm interested to see what it's about. My sister is giving me some home cooked meals which I will LOVE. My other sister got me some clothes (including matching pajammas for P and I). My mom gave me a number of little things but the big one was a check for P and I's trip.
Today we were going to go to my Dad's cabin but the weather is too bad in Wisconsin so we're going to stay in MN. My mom and sisters were going to go to something else but I just wanted to stay home and lay low. They're going to go to the Russian museum, Ikea and a few other things perhaps come here after a bit and I'm going to watch tv, play on the internet and nap. I should also go to the library and the bank. I've got to return/renew some books and then get some cash at the bank. P and I are going to buy a little (and I mean little!) camper together.
