Yesterday since I didn't have to work, I was able to have some fun. As I was bidding a sweet adieu to P before she went off to work, I was pleasantly surprised by E who was dropping some stuff on in my garage (I'm letting her and R store stuff there since I've got the room and it helps them save $$). Invited E in for coffee and great conversation. We talked a lot about stuff, the library she was working on (in construction), family (learned her mother is also a "minister") and life in general. It was really nice although I had hoped to get my tire on my car checked out (day before when I got off work, I discovered it was flat--filled it up and it seems to be holding it okay so far). Anyways...off for lunch with T(ex GF) we hadn't had a chance to exchange gifts. It's hard because I want to support her but there is still some ackwardness from me ended the relationship, and her not wanting it to end. Anyways, she talked a lot about her stuff(she's going through lots of emotional upheaval due to her getting in touch with herself-finally after 30+ years) and it was okay. I'm glad to be there for her but also hopes that she will find additional supports, though unlikely. She gave me 3 cd's, a book and calender (which I already had so I'm going to return it) as usual, very generous. Although I talked with R about my receving issues and the thought occured to her that perhaps it's based on the who versus other stuff. Interesting thought... I gave her a christmas ornament and a promise to go to dinner and see "Transamerica" when it finally comes to MN. After lunch, I met up with R and E to do some shopping. P ended up not needing to work so she called me. I was glad at the possiblity of more time with her but I wanted to consider R's thoughts before I invited P along. She ended up deciding not to join us because of the drive across town due to rush hour, I was disappointed. R and I eventually went shopping, I needed to pick up a top to match up the skirt I found for the dance this weekend. It was a great skirt but I just couldn't find anything I wanted to match with it. I did find this gorgeous dress that I bought instead. The next best thing about the dress besides it being perfect, with discounts the $119 dress cost me less than $28! I also got $15 discount for opening up a credit card. Isn't that GREAT ! P eventually did meet up with us (arriving at R's house just as we did) for dinner and nice conversation before heading home. I sure was tired and hard to wake up the next morning.
Anyways, I should go back to work.
