Jun. 7th, 2005 12:23 pmThis morning driving into work, the radio station that I listen to had a guest person(not really a DJ) as the regular guy was on vacation. It was local musician Peter Mayer (not John). I really enjoy Peter and they played some of his music including "Holy Now" which is a beautiful song. It really fits with how I look at the world, and yes, tears were streaming down my face...luckily traffic was really slow. So I was feeling pretty connected to the world and happy.
I get to work and check my email, the job I applied for last night is already filled. I'm glad they got back to me so fast but it sure let air out of my sails. I haven't heard anything back from the law firm yet. I did call and left a message to check the status. I'm so ready to have a perm job.
So I was having my own little private pity party at work until I learned the woman whom I'm covering for learned that her daughter has some brain damage and may have cerbal palsy. My life is not so bad, I don't have those huge crosses to bare, my life is pretty good overall....but I'm still out of sorts. I want more time for myself...there's so much I want to do but I can't because I'm working too much.
I'm sure it would help if I got some sleep. I stayed up late talking to R last night. It was good. If I'm lucky, we might be going to Tacoma over 4th of July weekend. Cross your fingers!
