Sunday I went to class for a couple of hours before I left early to attend the memorial service for a lady at church. She was 89 years old. She was a whipper snapper! She has left an amazing legacy. I got to know her at last year's women's retreat. Our group intended to get together again afterward but unfortunately never made it. She had around 200 people show up for her service. Her family lovingly talked about her and all that she was and meant to them. Over her lifetime, she cared for 75 foster children and some of them came. One of her daughters painted a picture of her chopping wood in her mink hat which I remember her wearing this winter. She was a tiny petite thing but has a legacy of loving everyone unconditionally despite the fact she saw their flaws. She made everyone feel welcome and loved them through her warm and caring home...excellent cook too. She will be missed.

Best Journey Helen!
