Mar. 15th, 2004 08:40 amFun weekend...Friday I ran some errands including a much delayed start in ordering a banner for my church. One of the older members who supports the welcoming congregation is willing to put money toward it. I ordered a bigger size so that it would work better in a parade. I'm going to cover the balance. She(NG)'s an amazing person but sounds like she's becoming less mobile due to the problems in her feet, she's in her 80's. When my schedule is a little more flexible, I've got to make a point of getting to visit her. She's very strong and speaks her mind. She believes that TK needs therapy. I wouldn't disagree with that because I think she's way too passive and doesn't deal with her feels well but I don't think it's my place to tell her how to deal with things.
Friday night was fun, good meal and great visit with RD. We hung out at the coffee shop, playing Yatzee and Farkle then to her house for a puzzle.
Saturday after the library, I car pooled with another woman and we went into town to go dancing with the whole OTB bunch. I totally feel out of the loop with trying to meet anyone. I was having K attempt to help me break out of that, she said I had to learn to compliment women(I'm going to work on that). I did notice one woman look me up and down, that was flattering despite the fact that RD knew her through someone else and told me she's a player. Doesn't change the fact that I was happy to be noticed ! Still I want to get to the point that I'm initiating versus responding.
Sunday was church, preparing for the week, I got to lie in the sun and read the newspaper before I napped for an hour.
Good weekend, could always use more time but you do the best you can !
