Dec. 29th, 2003 12:07 pmSo did I tell you that on the day that I celebrated Christmas with my Dad and sisters, I saw a bald eagle ? It was so cool because it was right out my living room window. I've lived here over 10 years and that's the first time I've seen a bald eagle in the area.
I just talked to the father of my child. He's having lots of karma come home to roost. I've come to determine that he's an opportunist and he shows that by a number of ways. When he was attending community college he took a coat that he found and attempted to cash a check that was in the pocket(landed in jail for the weekend...stupid !) In the last few years he and his girlfriend would take the mail packages from the apartment where he lived(can you say federal offense ?) With the assistance of his sister, she purchased a vehicle at an auction(without even starting it) It's a 92 Bronco I think. Then it needed a clutch and now it's leaking antifreeze in the oil. He borrowed money from my mother(that's another story) to pay for this vehicle and doesn't have the money to repair it. Apparently his sister is going to help him out but in the mean time he's been driving his geo which needs a starter. He tells me that yesterday he slid off the road and now can't drive that car either ! The factory where he works is shut down now until Jan 5 but he'll be able to catch a ride with a guy that lives the town to the east of him(why don't they car pool ?). His buddy will be able to take him to get groceries and I'm not sure how he'll get himself the 3 hours to his sister's to get his bronco upon the completion of the repair. Life sucks for him. I feel bad but I also feel like the chicken has come home to roost.
Glad that I'm not a part of that anymore !!!
