Aug. 11th, 2003 11:20 amSo I've been meaning to update this but now seems like the earliest that I've been able to do it.
I got my haircut on Friday after work by a woman whom I found that I decided that I really like how she cuts my hair, Although I don't think I liked it as much this time. Usually getting my haircut makes me happy but I was out of sorts from earlier in the day, I don't know. Feeling a bit apathetic about life in general which is pretty unusual.
Friday I laid around doing nothing but was finally able to start to pull up some of my carpet. I also went through some stuff that was piling up. I found some old pictures/letters from ex's. It was weird to see them again. T was with me, she took off 10 days vacation for herself.
Saturday I slept in and finished up the carpet and did some shopping. I finally picked up a new scale(for a plan to lose some weight before I seriously consider a BR) I also picked up a new doorknob for the front door(it's such a pain to have someone knock at the door but not be able to open it and therefore need to run around the side door). I dropped A off at the local youth center so he could spend some time there. When I picked him up he indicated that Saturday nights aren't so good because the other kids swear and stuff. I'm so happy that he's still pretty innocent.
Sunday I installed previously mentioned doorknob. We went swimming at a local community center. It was so much fun lying in the "lazy river" because you could float with the water. We met up with my sister L, she stayed for a few hours. I appreciate that she enjoys spending time with A. We closed the pool down and had supper in the local fast food joint. Sunday night I was able to watch "Frida" which was pretty intense, I'm still thinking it through. I'll try to write more about this later.
