The weekend was good after we finally left Saturday morning for South Dakota. Teh boy has been a typical teenager, he didn't want to go early on Friday which we wanted to because he wanted to go to the movies with friends. He asked if I'd give a friend of his a ride which I was willing to do but then a the last minute, he wasn't ready so he ended up not going at all. I was so frusturated. He's not going to be accomodated for in the future like that. ARGH, so then he said he didn't want to go, as long as he can find another place to be, but he didn't have much time and we were going to leave early Saturday morning he decided he wasn't going to go. I tried the trick that I use to use when he was a little kid "Do you want to do it the easy way or the hard way?" Apparently he choose the hard way.....and when I told him I'd hog tie him and showed up what I was plannning on using....he took off out the door. He was gone for almost three hours. I talked with his Dad who was an ass.

When he did show up, he did get in the car and for the most part it was a pleasant time. We got to the reunion at lunch time, spent time in the lake, hot tub and talking with relatives.  I even got a little sun on my back. P felt a little left out and I felt bad about that, she needed to speak up for what she needed but I also understand having spent  time with her relatives. Today we went sailing with my cousin, P really enjoyed that. We drove home, teh boy drove the last hour or so home. Poor P, she was so tired when she had to get up for work. She's going to be so tired.

Tomorrow, teh boy will be getting his new retainer and his wisdom teeth out. I hope he'll recover well...cross your fingers that he gets no dry sockets.

Hope it isn't too terrible for the boy. :( My Son #2 will be getting his wisdom teeth out in October.

He was a little loopy from whatever they gave him but he did take his antibiotic pill and his advil. He's off to sleep and doing okay so far.

I still have two of mine and since I'm as old as dirt, I think they'll be staying with me. :)

Fingers definitely crossed. Dry socket is just about the worst thing ever, or so I've heard. This guy I dated in college had it and I wouldn't wish that upon anybody (even if they're being an angsty teenage doink).

Thanks! I also agree about the teenager comment...but only by the skin of my own teeth!
