A most exciting day!

Yeah, I'm being sarcastic...

Had my annual exam, that went well. As we both have children the same age, we were lamenting about them and the choices they are faced with and make. This helped it go fast. Everything seems fine.

I considered driving to P's house but it would have been like 30 minutes there (she was sleeping and she had gone home from work early because she's sick). She later texted me that she has a temp of 101. She's not going to work tonight either, this is a good plan but who knows how she'll feel through out this weekend. Perhaps it's best she stay home? I hope not. We had some plans but obviously, if she's not feeling well, we're not going.

I stopped at one of my favorite thrift shops, picked up a pair of jeans ($6) a grey long sleeve top ($3) 4 clear glass coffee mugs ($.29/each) 2 tin signs for friends ($.99/each) a bunny figurine for teh boy ($1.69) and a arm load of books including how to cook with the power goes out, it's called "Apocalypse Chow" Po Bronson's most recent book in hardcover and Elizabeth Gilbert's "Last American Man" - which I just read her most recent one "Eat Pray Love" which was fabulous! I was pretty happy with what I found.

I've got a couple more hours to waste before I can go home... Perhaps I'll write a book review that I was suppose to finish last month. Oh well...

Yeah, she drove home (to me VERY early this morning) and she still doesn't feel good but at least we got to cuddle a little. She's going from hot to cold and back again.

I think my weekend is going to be awesome! I have lots of good things planned. *grins* Yeah, $200 was just placed in it for me. I only had $300 before I got the update. It is *sweet* That I was given $200! DAYUM!

Yeah, I also have been given a car, a trailer and this money. I just do not know what I am going to do with the car as of yet... And it is not a certainty the trailer needs some work such as being totally re-wired and have some inhabitants evicted. I guess the wee little ones have been living in it for years.

I am going to a womyn's song circle as well as the deaf church on Sunday. That will be fun!

I have had it pretty lucky as far as the fibromyalgia is concerned. I have had very few flares. It does not help that I am peri-menopausal on top of that and having cramps for the first time in my life... All of this is compounding together. *sighs* I also know... "this too shall pass". *grins*

You must have gone to Arc. The tin signs gave it away. I bought one last weekend for the kitchen. Have you ever tried Goodwill on Tuesdays? They have a tag sale day where everything a certain color tag is $1.49 no matter what the price says! I've gotten some great deals there....I love thrift stores!

Wow, no, I hadn't heard about the Tuesdays at Goodwill. I wonder if it's every Goodwill or just the one you go to. I do love me ARC though. I'm guessing you go to the Richfield one? I'm usually at the New Hope or Brooklyn Park one. I totally love thrift stores! I think it's the adventure of what you might find and also getting the good stuff!

I actually go to the one in Richfield or New Hope since the New Hope one is on my way to work in the morning. I prefer the New Hope one -- it's smaller, but usually has better quality stuff for some reason.

I think all the Goodwill stores in Mpls area have that deal on Tuesdays only. I have been to ones in Eagan, SLP, Hopkins, Apple Valley, and West St. Paul that have had it

New Hope is on your way to work? That's the shop I was in for my recent finds! I guess I assumed you worked in another location. Sometimes the Brooklyn Park location has better stuff for me because admittedly, I shop for "librarian" clothes which I doubt is in demand in that area.
