yeah but I try to hide it. I balance it out with some healthy skepticism.

Do you like gyroscopes?

...I mean, do you like the principle that makes the gyroscope able to balance on a string, on a finger's tip? That's what I'd guess you have learned in your life so far, and I see it as critical for one's sanity/survival.

In my own case, it took many years of depressive 'slides' to learn that I had the capacity to correct my emotional imbalances (with meds, at times or extra torque)! I've learned to keep a 'Thank You' wheel going inside my centering place ~ thinking, thanking, sharing, giving-away ~ and it works just like the gyroscope does.

Thanks for 'friending' ~ you help me learn more about life ;-)

I do like gyroscopes...or the balance required for them. I think I'm a very odd person in the sense that I'm either so compassionate and can relate to everyone or I feel different things (on the extreme end) at different times depending on my mood. Hmmm....let me explain. I'm a cynical optimist, failed perfectionist, social introvert, more rigid at work and so relaxed at home. Growing up, it used to make me feel a little crazy and I felt unbalanced (granted some of that was hormone driven adolescence) but I've come to accept that this is who I am, and I like it.

I've mostly been quite stable because I do that for my son. He's counting on me so I have to be there for him, not always perfect but doing the best I can. Although, recently, and I think it's because of P being in my life, I've become more emotional and more needy (which is very scary for me as I'm not very good at needing someone or asking for help). This emotional/needy stuff is something I'm practicing at (at least that's what I'm telling the part of me that wants to be so perfect about it).

Thanks for your comments, from the first comment I read that you posted, I sensed you had some wisdom and I wanted to learn from you. I also love that there are people who are older than 23 on Live journal!
