great weekend

zestfiveWe were looking forward to this weekend for quite some time.... We had talked about packing on Thursday night and leaving early on Friday. Well....didn't get packed Thursday, slept until (8am for me) and (9am+ for her). I had some things that I had wanted to do before we left that I eventually gave up on trying to do. We were packed an on the road by 2pm ? We stopped for lunch and to pick up a few more things. Geocached along the way, found one but got skunked on the 2nd one before we realized we were running behind (surprise!)
We made it to camp about 7pm walked in late at the dinner announcements but ate great food. Afterwards we set up the tent, hung out at the campfire and visited with folks. We were night owls and took a brief dip in the hottub before the rain became more than a few drops. Cuddling and then off to sweet sleep.
Saturday morning we slept in (again, her more than I). Great breakfast and then I learned to do some belly dance moves while she watched, sitting by the campfire....I'm sure there was something more. Lunch came way too fast but nice burgers and etc. P took a nap while I hung out with friends, painted on the art car (hand print on the peace sign and "Bless everyone ~ No exceptions" on the bumper). I eventually went in and cuddled and napped with P but woke up before her. We helped prep for dinner, talent show and sitting by the campfire. P was scheduled for a massage where she felt stood up so she ended up not getting one. We hung out watched other folks dance, sat by the fire and took a walk. Off to bed, more cuddling, real nice.
Sunday we got up in time to do watercolors, I did an image from my walk the night before, P copied an image from a mural (hers was better!). Great Brunch, closing and pack up. Good times.
We geocached all the way home, found 7 of 8 we were looking for, took a really nice and long hike where we found 3. We finally got home around 9p:30m and crashed to bed. I got to sleep in a little more because I was working the late shift on Monday
