Last few days

zestfiveComing home from work on Friday I stopped and picked up sweet corn, fresh green beans and ranier cherries. YUM!!! P was exhausted and rested until after dinner so the boy and I ate alone.
Saturday P and I attended an open house for a coworker of hers in a little unincorporated town past Prescott, WI. Beautiful little house in the valley with a swimming pool, pasture for 2 horses and etc. I met her family, partner and other coworkers it was a good time. We picked up DQ coming back far later than we expected. I got a phone call from a friend who is quitting her job as a firefighter due to the newly appointed chief being someone she can't respect. Hard for her because it's been so much a part of her identity.
Sunday we slept in (P actually woke up BEFORE me!!!) Coffee with the local group which later went to C's house. I ran up to St. Cloud to buy some new clothes, great sale but picked over by the time I got there. It's so tough buying clothes when you're short and squatty. The petites in my size were TOO short, regular too long. One size was too tight the next too big. ARGH !! I ended up with a couple of shirts and a pair of jeans, saved almost $30.
P and I had a really nice night last night going to sleep. We didn't get much sleep and sometimes it scares me to death how much I love that woman!
