good news?

So I've been offered a full time but fixed term position (benefits!) at one of the colleges that I currently work at. I'm really excited to have the position but it sure makes me nervous come the end of the term (it's only spring semester). I'm going to have to quit working at my public library, I will be at least becoming a sub at the library. It will be nice not having to work late 3 nights+ a week. I know that I'll be working some nights at the college but not the same frequency.

I'm nervous about taking this because I always plan for worse case scenarios and by quitting the public library, once I complete my term at the college, potentially I'll be living off of my savings and child support. Granted, I have savings that would likely last me 6 months or more in a worse case scenario, I just don't like the feeling. I also know that they are undergoing a lot of reorganization and it would look very good for me to obtain a full time more perm position.

Last night, I thought I'd have to work my regular shift (until 9pm) but the library closed early so I was home by 5:30 or so. I dropped off some little somethings to the public library ladies (customary to give token gifts). I had previously purchased some beverages from mexico for them, something a little different for them to try. Home to make dinner (spaghetti, broccali, garlic bread) and then off for some shopping. We should have decorated the tree but I guess that will have to wait until another time. When ? Maybe Christmas eve? I've also got to get my Christmas letters off before the postage goes up!
