zestfiveOh my gosh, my son is 5'8 1/2" at just as he's turned 13 !
Okay so my plan to stay closer to home only worked about 50%. But how can you resist when your best friend says she'll buy you dinner at a really interesting place with what turned out to be a bunch of other wonderful women? Who cares that I drove 70 miles one way to get there!!! I also had breakfast with J again, so fun to brainstorm about self employment stuff. If I do eventually get my nerve to do something like what we've talked about, it could potentially indirectly benefit my library career.
Went to work on Saturday with 4 hours of sleep, ran some errands and came home to do dishes, balance the checkbook, laundry and read. I also made a number of telephone calls, including calling my ex, Oops, I just realized I totally forgot her birthday! How rude is that? Telephoned my mother as today is her birthday, she was no where to be found, that's okay, as I don't know that she wants to be found. I'm sure she's helping out my sister with her new house (she closed yesterday)
I did get an invite to go hang out with previously mentioned best friend and another friend, but I turned it down, now I've got to be productive since I could have gone for more fun! While talking to K, I feel like she was only politely listening to me as I was talking about everything that was going on with me....gosh I feel really weird sometimes because I can't ever find that balance(except with R) where I talk enough to allow that connection/intimacy but not too much where someone thinks I'm a freak because the stuff I think/talk about.
