Today I'm hoping to see the Vagina Monologues on campus and dinner with my girl before that. The boy is suppose to go to his father's for the weekend but it seems that he's packed up his weekend with friends. He says he's going to a party on Saturday night and spending the night. It's a girl's birthday party.....ah...um, no. I don't think a 14 year old needs to be spending the night at a girl's house regardless of who is there and if her parents are okay with it. I question the parents if they are willing to allow that, I sure wouldn't. The boy's father is being rather lacksidasial about this which is frusturating. He wanted me to leave a note for the boy to call him, why doesn't he just call him when he get's home? He's(the boy's father) isn't going to work today. If that's the case, he should take him Friday night instead of waiting until Saturday at noon.
Talked to my friend R last night. We haven't talked in a week or more or so it seems. I forgot her birthday, oops. She turned 30, it's kinda a big deal. She also felt that there was something between us, unspoken. I'm glad she asked about it, I didn't feel there was but she did. We talked about it, perhaps it was because I forgot her birthday? We seem to be back on track but now it's more important that we find some time to hang out. Weekends are usually spent with my girl so I'm guessing something during the week but I usually get home so late. We'll have to figure out something. Next week I've got Wednesday open as far as I know but that's also V-day. I don't know if P will be coming out that night (or I go in town) or not.
This weekend, we're going to our couple's group on Saturday night. I'm looking forward to that. We also need to return the surround sound dvd player, I don't think I mentioned that. One day about a month ago after going to a Dr. appt decided to stop at Best Buy. She ended up purchasing and having delivered to the country house(my house - her's is the city house) a huge HDTV with surround sound that was advertised on the front page of the best buy flier. The thing took a few days to be delivered, than the cable company took almost 2 weeks to get it set up with the HDTV cable and a working cable box. After many hours of messing with it, we finally learn that we cannot get the surround sound to work with the cable, only dvds. How lame is that? why would you want it then? We're going to return it because it's such a waste. She's going to pick up a surround sound system that will work with the cable.
She also bought a new car! Nissan Murano and got it yesterday. She said she bought both of these things (TV and car) so that we could enjoy them. It's very weird for me because I'm so much more comfortable working toward something, scrimping and saving towards something not enjoying something. I don't do well with too much money, success, love or happiness, it's much easier for me to enjoy a minimal status quo. How puritan of me!
If I would buy a new car, I'd want a Smart Fortwo see http://www.smartusa.com/index.html
