Good Day

A had a ortho appointment and it seemed pointless to go to it and then return (75 minutes) before I would have to drive another 140 minutes+ for round trip to work....so I decided not to go in today. This meant I got 8 hours of sleep, balanced my checkbook, watched a movie (Dodgeball), did some shopping for the boy and enjoyed some quiet time. It also meant that I called about "consolidating" my student loan so that when the interest goes up 7/1/05, mine is fixed.

So, now I'm thinking about Pride this weekend...trying to figure out my plans. I do have A this weekend but figured with today and tomorrow night, I can spend a little time there. Last year was the first year he decided that he really didn't want to do that anymore. I'm thinking that I want to go to the park on Saturday to walk around....maybe do this speed dating thing(not sure about this...a friend of mine wants to, but I'm not sure). Sunday, I'll certainly go to the parade but maybe not stay too late. This year is the last Dyke night but I've got to work...I only made it to two...like 2-3 years ago, great but what can you do. I'd like to see Ellis and Roxxy Hall band. Saturday a friend of mine and her young daughter are performing at the Stonewall location...might try to make that...or maybe not.
