(no subject)

My cat, Jasmine is sick. I *think* she's 17 or 18 years old. In people years that's 76 or 78 years old. She started acting weird....not eating, not drinking water and hiding out in the bathroom(normally she sleeps with me or A). I finally made an appointment for her at the Vet when I realized she was getting dehydrated. After the visit $50 and the blood work $140. She has elevated liver and kidney levels. The plan is to put her on perscription cat food, antibiotics, prednisone and IV fluids(that lucky me ! I get to administer) All of this I picked up today at lunch for $35. I gave her the pills before I went back to work and she actually ate some of the food which is something she hasn't done in the last week or so.

It was weird on Friday when I was telling a coworker about it, I didn't think I would get as emotional as I did...got teary eyed.

Friday night I went to Lucy's to see a drag king show, saw a performer from Australia. Apparently there was an international conference here in the area this weekend. I also got to see another local(town next to me) woman do a show(go-go, not drag king) and meet a couple of other local dykes. Interestingly enough on Saturday there was a fight at this bar that included a member of the local lawn enforcement department...glad I wasn't there then !

Saturday I slept until 1pm !!! It was crazy ! I did some homework and then went into town and had Papa Murphy's gourmet vegetarian pizza(Yum !) with friends before we went to a comedy show."A Rainbow of Comedy: Come Out Laughing!" Then we watched "Bowling for Columbine". Have you seen it ? What are your thoughts ?

I was so tired when I finally got home except I had to go to church and finish my darn paper that is not due until Thursday but I don't have any other time to complete it.
