I'm so glad that I'm not a republican or catholic

I really mean this in the nicest way. I'm glad that I'm not a republican(Bush continues to embarrass me every day) and the pope doesn't *get* it. I think if I was catholic or republican I would have to hate myself. I really feel sorry for those people who are lesbian or gay or queer in general....because how hard would that be.

Aside from the fact that I'm not the neatest housekeeper, I'm pretty happy with myself. I also can forgive myself about the housekeeping because of my schedule and I will always value people before stuff. I'd rather spend time with people than clean my house !

My friend R believes that gay marriages will be legal within 5 years. I'm not sure if I believe that. I sure hope that we get the right to marry but I'm not sure that I ever want to get married.

I dated a man from age 15 until 22 and on the day of our wedding, I broke a mirror. I'm not superstitious but...I was divorced 7 years later. I haven't dated a man since then.

So when it comes to marriage, been there, done that, bought the T-shirt and it cost me too much $$$$ to return it ! I'm wondering if there's anyone who can convince me why it would be good to get married ? Please let me know !!
