I bought gas today for $2.67/gal. Isn't it amazing that I'm *that* excited about it. I wonder if we'll ever see it below $2/gal again.

In other news, my crazy neighbor who lives directly across the street from me finally had his house foreclosed on. Apparently the title company made an error in his paperwork. What happened is that they foreclosed on 3 lots and the house when he actually "owned" 5 lots and the house. He's currently living in a tent on the remaining 2 lots. I know he has a girlfriend and also had some roommates. Rumor from another neighbor is that they are all living in the tent. Other concerns include the fact that they might have been manufacturing meth. Let's hope not.

I'm tired but my love will be coming over tomorrow so I'm going to bed early tonight.

I was just telling my kid, that is of learning how to drive age, that when I was in high school we thought it was huge that gas prices were over a dollar all the way up to $1.25. It even made our yearbook as big news for the year! The reports say around $2 by Thanksgiving, we shall see. We have a minivan and truck (I am trying to get downsized) so gas prices have effected our travel. I miss going on cruises around the countryside...just to do it.

Oh yeah...They have a "fuel bank" see http://www.fuelbank.com/ where you can buy a huge amount of fuel and use it when you want. I'd probably buy a couple of hundred dollars of it and use it when it would go above the price. I still remember when it was possible to buy it for less than a dollar! My son is on the cusp of driving age (14). I've got a geo prizm but I put on about 70-75 miles a day normal driving and more if I'm going other places which happens frequently. I understand buying late model fuel efficient cars is very difficult right now. My prizm is in the garage hopefully being repaired for it's transmission problems (?) but I'm sure it will be pricey. Yikes!
