Fun Weekend

zestfiveFriday night I met up with a few people that I used to work with. It was fun to see people again but I'm so bad at names ! I knew them and remembered lots of details but for the life of me could not remember anyone's names. Although it was weird because I realized as I left that I got lots of hugs from the black men that I worked with..it was nice but what's up with that ? Perhaps it's because I wouldn't reach out to women(my own homophobia) and I wouldn't want straight men to think I'm hitting on them...is this racism because I'm acting as if the black men don't count ?(despite the fact that I think they *do* count but just not in a romantic way...mostly)
Anyways, slept in very late on Saturday which meant that I needed it ! Saturday R and her brother Z came over and we went out for dinner and then came home, took a walk and played flashlight tag in the misty darkness. Board games and then we were going to go get treats at the local 24 hour grocery store and bring my camcorder but I couldn't get it to work. That would have been funny ! R and I have talked about making a short film asking people the question "What is your definition of a "real man" or "real woman" ?"
Sunday was church and afterwords TK, A and I went to the open house at the local library where one of the members of our church was revealing his 2nd mural there. It was Beautiful ! Very talented ! I wish my library had the funds to do something in our library.
