Forgive me father, It's been five days since I've posted....

I never have enough time.

Good Lord, is this a long post or WHAT!!! Read it at your own risk !!!

I want more time with my sweetie. We have really nice times and I love every minute of it. We both work too much! I also know that we need to be patient as I expect to have lots of time to do lots of things with her. We shouldn't wear each other down by not getting enough sleep. I feel like the minute that I catch up, I want to not sleep again so I can be with her.

Spent time with my Dad for Thanksgiving, nontraditional. We ate healthy, brussel sprouts, sweet potatoes, good bread, salad and the french vegatable stew that I made for him earlier in the week. He(or more likely his partner) made sweet potato pie (I think the crust was whole wheat). The boy was bored and while my Dad and I took a brief nap, he went to my car with my keys to "listen to the radio" and ended up locking my keys in the car! Had to call the auto club (http://www.betterworldclub.com/) to unlock the car. I was going to drive my Dad's car home for my spare key but as he left the key in the ignition with the radio on, I figured I'd end up needing a jump anyways so I called. As punishment, I made the boy go with me to a friend's Thanksgiving gathering. It was good, she is going to be moving in with her GF(who's how I met her) in January so I got to see her place quick before she's gone.

Snow came early on Friday morning, fortunately my sweetie was home (to my house) before it came. I think we got 2-4 inches. I went out and shoveled my driveway. It's the 2nd time since I've owned that house(12 years) that I did it. The first time was with my husband when we first bought the house, after that the neighbor did it until the motor died on his little tractor. The last few years hasn't been very snowy so I just pay to have it plowed after every heavy snow, usually no more than 4 times a season. Friday I was feeling pretty good and figured I had the time, could use the excercise so I started. I could have called the boy but I just kept going. Afterwards I only felt it slightly in my lower back. I should get an extra shovel in case this situation ever arises again. It used to cost me $25 a snow storm but I think last time I might have paid $50 or so.

Last night after we got home around 11:30 I realized that I had forgotten to go feed my mother's cats as I promised. So, we went over there, to my childhood home. I haven't lived there in over 12 years (I've now lived more years away than I've lived there). The house is rather unusual but growing up it was "normal" it's built into a hill, an "earth sheltered" home, one wall of windows, passive solar heat with wood stove. There are other oddities about it including oval shaped room with a tree trunk in the center, stained glass window in the bathroom above the round tub. It's also in 10 acres of woods that has a creek in the back. When we got there, I gave her a tour and found my mother's collection of photos. I forced her(grin) look through all my childhood pictures. I hope she didn't mind too bad but it was quite late when we got home. She was so tired. She had to leave to go to work the next morning after about 3 hours of sleep. I got to sleep longer. My friend J called and woke me up asking for direction to a farm that had Buffalo --she has the son of her Japanese pen pal visiting and she wanted to show him that. It was good that she called so I could get going, as it was I almost missed P as she got done with work. She was going home for a nap so I went to see R and E. We made salt dough ornaments with their friend L and her son N. E had brought out examples of pickles see http://german.about.com/library/blgermyth11.htm
So I made a pickle, a banana (for my Dad), a tree and a couple of rainbow peace signs (that actually were mercedes symbols 'cause I messed up) and one big shiney penny (inside joke with P). After I finished painting, I was off to see P. Where I sit with her at work updating my blog.

Tomorrow the plan is church, P's got to work at job #2 and will likely work at job #1 (where we are right now). I expect she'll be busy. I've got coffee with my local group tomorrow afternoon but after that, I've got to play catch up on laundry and etc (that's the story of my Mondays). I've also got to start preparing for X-mas. Who wants to do my shopping for me?
