one thing that stuck out with me is that they said the evidence that the repeated deployments had nothing do with this... really said what the reeson was for me.
Also I knew someone in the Navy... she was a nurse.
She served years ago but many new recruits would come to her and ask what should they do if they had a preexisting mental illness, she was told to tell them to not mention it and many of them were simply lost at sea or disappeared during shore leaves. At least now they are investigating suicides and not just brushing them under the rug like they used to.

I think the numbers are much higher than that... those are the reported suicides.

That makes it much worse in my eyes. That many are going unreported...
