Great weekend
When I got home from work on Friday, A who had previously agreed to watch a movie (rent or theatre) and dinner out stood me up for his friend Corey.
Darn it! Oh well, I did have a chance to pick up my cheap laptop that I won from ebay (that my public library was selling). It was really cheap because it didn't have anything on it inlcluding an operating system. Happily, I had one to install. It took a bit of monkeying around but I did it. Now, I just want to figure out how to get it set up for wireless because there are 3 places in town that offer wireless.
Saturday was work, a little slow and boring. After work, a drive around town, a stop to visit P's coworkers and into the city for Sara Thomsen concert. My friend D couldn't make it, but that's how she is and so it didn't bother me. As usual, Sara was wonderful. She's working on a new CD which always makes me happy. She also recorded one with two other women and they call themselves "the three altos". At first I didn't think I'd like it but the last song she sang before she ended was nice so I think I'll have to pick it up. P also snagged me a poster promoting her that looks really great so that now up on my wall. Afterwards, I was able to meet P's cats and see the place she is when we're not together. It's always good for me to be able to have a place to visualize. It was a long night and I was sleepy when we got home.
Sunday was up for church, looking at pictures, catching up on the dishes (especially since I can't seem to get the darn dishwasher to work...maybe after a new hot water heater and water softner) grocery shopping and really nice dinner made by my girl. T was said she'd be in church but I think she chickened out at the last minute. The boy seems to be okay with P. Him and I got to put on a show for her (meaning we were screwing around and having fun). We had to get P to bed as early as possible (even though I wish she had gotten more sleep)as she had to leave early for work. We got her up by 4am, made some toast, packed her a lunch and off she went. It was very nice. Good lord, I'm getting all domesticated by this. Shhh....don't tell anyone ! Especially not R !
We're both sick so sleep would be something that we could both use. Hopefully we'll both get better soon.
Today I will be doing bills, laundry and gawd forbid a little cleaning. I'm also going to be taking a nap to catch up on some sleep. (probably as soon as the boy leaves for school). I've got to schedule time for cable and cable high speed (as per agreement with boy to attend the OWL classes). The cats are also screaming for their breakfast.
