the weekend
So Friday took FOREVER to finally leave...
We drove about 25 miles before we stopped for supper then stopped for milkshakes (which didn't work so we left empty handed). Then a quick stop for P's nicorette before we finally got on the road at just before 9pm! About an hour before our destination the car popped out of gear. I prefer manual transmission and so I was able to stick in the clutch and put it back it but it did this a number of times. On the way back, I mostly held it in place the entire time (boy is my arm sore!) Yeah, called my mechanic and he said the labor alone will likely set me back $400. It's worth it because these types of cars are at a premium right now. I've done nothing but oil and tires in like 50k+ miles.
Weekend was okay, I enjoyed the time with everyone. P forgot her sleep machine which means she needs to sleep MORE even though she will feel less rested. She probably slept 8-10 hrs of sleep a night with a 3-4 hr nap both days. One couple brought their 9 month old son who has a wonderful disposition, I probably spent most of my time with him. Good conversation with L and S (we still have to locate the surprise we brought them back from our trip).
Drive home was mostly uneventful. I think P was tired but we still stayed up too late for her when we got home cuddling. She really needs to get herself well. I didn't have to be to work until 9pm so I got more sleep than her but was still tired.
One week remaining of this session, a week off (already fully scheduled) and back to work for Fall...unless something changes!
